Assistance During COVID-19 Pandemic

In response to COVID-19, Operation Fuel is continuing our important work providing energy and utility assistance to households across Connecticut while protecting the well-being of staff and visitors to our office.

Our staff are working remotely or staggering work schedules to continue to help residents who are struggling to pay energy and utility bills. For the time being, Operation Fuel is not hosting in-person meetings but can be contacted by phone at (860) 243-2346 or by email at info@operationfuel.org.

We were very encouraged to be informed that CT Attorney General William Tong and the CT Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) have issued an emergency moratorium that prevents electric, natural gas, and water shut offs in our state. This allows families in financial crisis to continue to have access to hot water so they can practice the necessary preventative measures to help reduce the spread of the virus.

However, many families who utilize fuel oil from individual vendors may still be facing situations where immediate assistance is needed - particularly in light of coronavirus-related financial issues. Operation Fuel will continue making these families a priority. You can learn more about ways to help support these efforts online here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time, and please stay safe.
