Operation Fuel provides emergency energy assistance to elderly, disabled and low-income working poor families who are facing financial crisis and are not eligible for, or have exhausted their government benefits. These people have no other resources except Operation Fuel to keep their homes warm, and the lights on.

Last year, 93% of each dollar spent at Operation Fuel went to our emergency energy assistance program. We are able to keep our overhead so low because of our voluntary fuel bank network. All of our fuel banks administer this energy assistance program on a voluntary basis. These fuel banks provide an important link because they are in direct contact with people in crisis. Fuel bank directors stay in constant communication with the Operation Fuel office and relay to us the needs of the clients.

How to Contribute to Operation Fuel

•	Send a check payable to Operation Fuel to: Operation Fuel One Regency Drive, Suite 200 Bloomfield, CT 06002 You can write out a check to Operation Fuel and enclose it with your utility bill. The utility companies will forward all checks to Operation Fuel.
•	Support Operation Fuel through the Add-a-Dollar program with your utility company. You may donate $1.00 or more by adding the amount to your utility bill, both paper bills and electronically. 100% of funds raised through the Add-a-Dollar program are used for energy assistance grants. The utility companies also match a percentage of Add-a-Dollar funds raised. You may contact your local utility companies to become enrolled in an automatic Add-a-Dollar program. •	Donate online through Operation Fuel’s secure website by clicking here.
•	Honorary and memorial gifts to Operation Fuel can express sympathy, love, appreciation, congratulations or best wishes to those you honor or remember. When you make an honorary or memorial gift, we will send an appropriate, personalized acknowledgment to individuals or family members letting them know you’ve honored them or a loved one with a gift. Please print this form and mail it along with your donation to Operation Fuel.
