Changing Consumer Behavior Can Help to Conserve Energy While Reducing Utility Bills

New Britain, Conn. — Changing the behavior of consumers regarding energy use can help to increase energy conservation measures and ultimately reduce utility and fuel bills, according to Jennifer Tabanico, president of Action Research, who spoke today at Operation Fuel’s Power Breakfast 2011 at Central Connecticut State University.

Operation Fuel’s Executive Director Patricia Wrice said, “We’ve decided to take a strategic approach to closing the energy affordability gap by developing an energy conservation education program that we believe will be most effective in helping lower-income consumers to reduce their energy costs.”
